Key responsibilities

Inventory management

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming stock.

  • Ensure proper and safe storage of goods within the warehouse.

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.

Stock record keeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

  • Update stock cards, inventory systems, or relevant software regularly.

  • Conduct routine stock reconciliation on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Stock issuance

  • Issue materials or products based on approved requests.

  • Ensure all stock movements are properly documented.

Stock audits

  • Participate in periodic stock counts and audit exercises.

  • Investigate and report discrepancies between physical stock and recorded data.

Warehouse organization

  • Ensure proper arrangement and labeling of stored items.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse.

Reporting

  • Prepare and submit stock reports to management.

  • Notify management of damaged, expired, or obsolete items.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Prior experience in inventory or store management is an advantage.

Skills and competencies

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Effective record-keeping and organizational abilities.

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and inventory management software.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to work with numerical data and reports.
