Key responsibilities

  • Develop regional sales plans and quotas aligned with business objectives.

  • Provide support to Store Managers in daily store operations.

  • Assess both store-level and individual sales performance.

  • Report on regional sales outcomes and performance metrics.

  • Plan and execute sales strategies, regularly reviewing sales data and preparing reports for senior-level management.

  • Conduct tracking meetings to provide feedback and actionable sales insights.

  • Forecast quarterly and annual revenue and profitability.

  • Identify staffing needs and participate in the recruitment and training of sales personnel.

  • Prepare and review annual budgets within the assigned region.

  • Analyze regional market trends to identify growth opportunities.

  • Address potential operational challenges and recommend timely solutions.

  • Contribute to decisions related to business expansion or acquisitions.

  • Recommend new products and innovative sales approaches to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including operations and store managers.

  • Conduct regular business reviews, monitoring sales activities, product performance, customer service, receivables, and claims.

  • Develop and execute customer plans aimed at increasing sales volume, distribution, and market share profitably.

  • Collaborate with the logistics team to plan, analyze, and forecast customer demand, ensuring timely and complete order fulfillment and prioritization during supply constraints.

  • Monitor store-level activities and communicate competitive, category, and product insights (including pricing, assortment, promotion, and placement) to customer service teams for strategic response.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

  • Monitor and report competitor activities within the sales region.

Requirements

  • HND or BSc in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive sales experience, with sector-specific experience preferred.

  • Prior managerial experience in a related field.

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong product and technical knowledge.

  • Expertise in revenue and profitability management.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

  • Excellent communication skills.
