Job summary

Reliable Plastic is recruiting a National Sales Manager (NSM) to lead the development and execution of nationwide sales strategies. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening customer relationships.

The position requires strong leadership of regional sales teams, in-depth knowledge of distribution networks, and practical experience in marketing and selling manufactured products across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy aligned with company objectives.

  • Drive revenue growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Supervise and manage regional and area sales managers nationwide.

  • Expand distribution networks, including wholesalers, distributors, and key accounts.

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities and penetrate underserved regions.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand to guide strategic decisions.

  • Oversee pricing strategies, promotions, and product positioning.

  • Ensure effective product availability and distribution across all regions.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.

  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams for demand forecasting and product availability.

  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management.

  • Drive brand visibility through coordinated sales campaigns and activations.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including credit control and payment collections.

  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales personnel to improve team performance.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience managing distributors, wholesalers, and large retail networks.

  • Knowledge of FMCG or plastic/consumer goods markets is an advantage.

Key requirements

  • Fluency in English, Hausa, and Yoruba (spoken and written).

  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and regional sales dynamics.

  • Ability to travel extensively across Nigeria.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management software.

  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation capabilities.
