Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray imaging and ultrasound scans where applicable.

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes to ensure comfort and cooperation.

• Position patients appropriately to obtain accurate and clear diagnostic images.

• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self.

• Review images to confirm quality and suitability for diagnostic interpretation.

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnosis.

• Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.

• Ensure regular inspection and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Requirements

• Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging.

• Valid practicing license issued by the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and radiation safety practices.

• Good technical skills and patient care abilities.

• Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center, including completion of internship and NYSC.

• Experience with multiple imaging modalities such as CT scans and ultrasound.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
