Job Title: Business Developer – Pay with Transfer
Location: Lagos
Description
The Business Developer – Pay with Transfer will contribute directly to PalmPay’s expansion by identifying new market opportunities, onboarding high-quality merchants, educating merchants and agents, and strengthening adoption of the Pay with Transfer (PWT) solution.
This position focuses on merchant acquisition, relationship management, and driving usage of PalmPay’s payment services across key market segments.
Job Responsibilities

Targeted Market Prospecting: Identify and pursue potential merchants across multiple market segments for Pay with Transfer (PWT), merchant loans, partnerships, and online payment services. Prospecting activities include the use of online directories, industry events, and referrals.

Merchant Engagement Strategy: Establish contact with prospective merchants, build professional relationships, and arrange meetings or product demonstrations to present the value of PalmPay’s integrated payment services.

Business Needs Assessment: Evaluate merchants’ operational processes, payment workflows, and existing challenges to determine their specific business needs and recommend suitable PalmPay solutions.

Tailored Product Presentations: Deliver structured presentations showcasing PalmPay’s services, clearly explaining key features, functionality, and expected return on investment. Presentations should be customized for key merchants and high-quality merchants based on their operational requirements.

Strategic Relationship Development: Develop long-term relationships with decision-makers within merchant organizations by demonstrating reliability, industry knowledge, and consistent support.

Negotiation and Deal Closure: Conduct negotiations regarding pricing structures, contractual terms, and partnership agreements to secure successful merchant onboarding while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including product development and customer support, to resolve merchant inquiries, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth deployment of PalmPay services.
Benefits
